PHILADELPHIA FLYERS
The Philadelphia Flyers made their debut on October 11, 1967 as part of the 1967 NHL expansion. They were quick to shed their mediocre expansion team label however by becoming the first expansion team to win the Stanley Cup in 1974, and then again in 1975. They soon became known as the intimidating “Broad Street Bullies” due to their brawling ways and the location of the Spectrum on Broad Street. Two of the most memorable of the Broad Street Bullies are certainly Bobby Clarke and Dave Schultz. With a combination of points and penalty minutes, Bobby and Dave led the Flyers through many seasons and both Cup bids with great skill and toughness. We are fortunate to be working with two of Philly’s greatest players to bring you the NHL Alumni Signature Wine Series.
